Pineapple has this amazing ability to make almost any smoothie taste good. If you're just getting into green smoothies and want to be sure yours taste better than they look, pineapple is your friend.

And as far as prep goes, pineapple is either really hard or really easy. Personally, I'm not brave enough to tackle a fresh pineapple, so it's frozen pineapple chunks from Costco for me. Easy peasy. ​

Make it Healthy
Like so many other smoothie-popular fruits, pineapple hits it out of the park with vitamin C. One cup of raw pineapple contains 79 milligrams, or 105% of your daily target. It also gives you 20% of your daily copper, 14% of your vitamin B6, and 12% of your thiamin. So, a couple of different good things in there, but like with oranges last week, vitamin C is the only real story. Nutritional info is per the USDA's Supertracker Foodapedia site (search for Pineapple, raw).

Eating healthy can only matter if we do it consistently over time. My goal is to combine healthy smoothies with the power of habit to help you be healthier for as long as you want to be.

Here's how I see it: We only do things when we remember to do them and when our motivation to do them exceeds the effort required.
