There are times when pre-peeled, pre-chopped is worth it and mangoes are one of them. Getting all of the fruit off the big seed without bringing bits of seed with it takes a hand more practiced than mine. So it's frozen mango chunks from a bag for me. Another thing to keep in mind is that frozen mango is especially dense, making smoothies colder and thicker than you might expect. I like my smoothies to be easy to drink, so when I use frozen mango I compensate with more liquid than normal.

Enjoy!

Make it Healthy
Somewhat unexpectedly, mangoes are among the more nutritionally diverse fruits I've shared on the tour. Nearly all have been great sources of vitamin C, A and fiber, and mangoes are no exception. According to nutritiondata.self.com one cup of raw mango gives us 76% of our daily recommended amount of C, 25% of our A, and 12% of our fiber. But in that cup we also get 11% of our vitamin B6, and 9% of our vitamins E and K and of our copper. Not bad at all.

Make it Matter
Eating healthy can only matter if we do it consistently over time. My goal is to combine healthy smoothies with the power of habit to help you be healthier for as long as you want to be.

Here's how I see it: We only do things when we remember to do them and when our motivation to do them exceeds the effort required. Guided Smoothie Tour installments support your healthy smoothie habit by reminding you to smoothie (if you're signed up to get the emails), and by making it both easier and more fun to do. Here's how:

Recipes you know by heart are easy to shop for and make, requiring less effort, and therefore less motivation....until you get bored, that is. Then you need something new to pique your interest and give your motivation a boost.

Find a few favorites along the tour that are worthy of your regular rotation. Then come back for fun, new recipes when you want to mix things up (pun intended).

Have an awesome day!
Shaun
